AREAS OF THE PARK

the island of adventure
It is an area of 4000 square meters dedicated to children. Inaugurated in 2008 with an investment of 3,000,000 euros, it features a playground with the sign of Ulysses, the park's mascot. On the territory, children can play all kinds of games on their own or in the company of adults.

Planet Earth
Planet Earth is a visual and multisensory journey in four rooms that allows you to relive the main milestones of the evolution of our planet from 15 to 12 million years ago. In the first room, the film (in 3D) tells the stages of the birth of the Universe and of Planet Earth, where, thanks to special effects, it is possible to experience firsthand the birth of life on our Planet, the extinction of the dinosaurs and the end of the last ice age.

Darwin, rainforest
A glass and steel dome surrounds a magnificent rainforest with ponds, giant reptile habitats and fish. Visitors can immerse themselves in the tropics by following the trails, experiencing the warm, humid environment dinosaurs lived in before the great upheaval drove them to extinction. The route ends by going through a lava-burned forest with dinosaur footprints on the floor.

Sea routes
This section is dedicated to the marine environment and consists of the Dolphin Lagoon and Sea Planet, an area dedicated to the inhabitants of the Adriatic Sea.

Dolphin Lagoon
The lagoon recreates a corner of the Adriatic Sea, where dolphins brought from abroad perform in front of the public. The lagoon reproduces the marine environment and is divided into different zones. In August 2014, the park recorded the birth of the first captive-conceived dolphin in aquariums, a major milestone for the park. The dolphin show impresses with their skills and abilities of synchronized jumps, movements and somersaults in the water and the ability to understand people. The dolphin lagoon is especially popular with children. Everyone is delighted!
Planet Sea
A large room entirely dedicated to the Adriatic and the giants who inhabit it. In practice, it is a highly accurate museum display of whales, dolphins, sharks, sunfish and other large vertebrates, reconstructed life-size in resin, fiberglass and polyurethane. There is also a special area dedicated to children.

Oltremare has a vast territory dedicated to the nature of the mainland and is divided into the following zones:

The area of falcons and flying predators: eagles, falcons, owls, hawks and vultures are the protagonists of the free flight event. Young and old will have the opportunity to get to know these incredible air dominators up close and discover their extraordinary abilities. Instructors-entertainers will show you the ancient art of falconry, recognized in 2010 by UNESCO as a cultural heritage of humanity. In this area there is also a small tourist itinerary for a more in-depth knowledge of these species of birds of prey.

Bird Exhibition Area: where you can admire magnificent specimens of rare birds such as the red and green macaw, the blue and yellow macaw and other parrots and birds.

Delta: along the way it is possible to observe the typical flora and fauna of the Po river, such as sturgeon, catfish and pond turtle. In this area you can also see the farmyard animals that have always inhabited the rural context of the great Po Valley. In the farmyard you can see ducks, geese, roosters and hens, rabbits, nice goats and peacocks up close.

Wallaby Kangaroos: Hop halfway around the world to get to know Australia!
Wallabies are marsupials that live in central and southern Oceania. Their dimensions are smaller than those of kangaroos, reaching a maximum of 90 centimeters in height and weighing 20 kg. Very funny animals and kids love them!

Oltremare Park is able to surprise with the diversity of nature and will certainly appeal to young naturalists!
